Simple Burial or Cremation Casket


This is the simplest and the most economical casket we make. We use inexpensive materials both to keep the price low and because of the nature of the way this casket is usually used. More and more often, people express the wish that their body be taken after death and either be buried or cremated as soon as possible. In such instances, it is often the wish that a very inexpensive casket be used as a simple container, often required, for the burial or cremation. If there is to be a memorial service in the future, often the ashes are present in an urn and a photograph is displayed, but the body is not present at this ceremony.

While our other caskets are suitably strong and durable to be used in the upright position as a piece of furniture, the inexpensive materials and construction of this casket allow it to be used as furniture only in the laying down position, not standing upright. Laying down, however, it works well as a storage box, linen chest or as a toy or tool chest.
