Builders of fine Wooden Caskets, basic and unpretentious, yet dignified and affordable. Our Caskets double as furniture. We also make Heirloom Baby Cradles and Hope Chests that cause little girls’ hearts to sing. We began in 1973, in Whitefish, Montana. Then we were the Rocky Mountain Casket Company and we were an excited bunch of young entrepreneurs. We were also naive, and quite ignorant as business folk. But our hearts were in the right place then and our motives remain unchanged now. Our philosophy remains to provide simple and economical caskets directly to the people. We also believe that to truly help you, we must also, along with our caskets, provide an education which allows you to avoid the incredible rip off which awaits the unsuspecting and ill prepared at America's funeral homes. When you purchase a casket from us, you receive our twenty-five years of educational and consumer advocacy experience. If what you or a loved one wishes in the way of a funeral, no matter how unconventional, is reasonable and legal, we'll do everything we can do to help you obtain it. We believe that the home-grown, family-and-friend-orchestrated funeral is the one which helps the most in alleviating grief and in bringing understanding. What folks sometimes forget is that all of the religious rituals, the words spoken by friends, the eulogy, anything which can be done at a canned, funeral home run funeral can be done, if desired, at an alternative funeral. The meaningful and memorable parts of the funeral ceremony have nothing whatsoever to do with things like fancy caskets, Cadillac hearses, embalming fluids or whether the "transporters" wear pinstriped suits. All of the parts of a truly meaningful funeral ceremony ARE FREE. |
